Roll-off dumpster rental in Fort Lauderdale

The yard is inside the city — just northwest of downtown, between I-95 and Andrews Avenue, south of Sunrise Boulevard.

Fort Lauderdale is where the trucks start every morning. The yard at Unit 835 NW 7th Terrace sits in the 33311 ZIP between I-95 and Andrews Avenue, which puts downtown, Victoria Park and Wilton Manors a few minutes away and the beach neighborhoods along A1A about fifteen. A call before noon is usually an afternoon container anywhere in the city.

The jobs here cover the whole range: canal-front remodels in Las Olas Isles and Coral Ridge, 1950s ranch houses in Imperial Point and Poinsettia Heights getting kitchens and roofs, condo and townhouse turnovers downtown, and commercial build-outs around Flagler Village, Port Everglades and the airport industrial area.

Local knowledge

Getting our bearings in Fort Lauderdale

Knowing a city properly is the difference between covering it and showing up with the right box.

  • Sixty-plus officially recognized neighborhoods — Victoria Park, Rio Vista, Coral Ridge, Imperial Point, Flagler Village, Las Olas Isles, Tarpon River, Sailboat Bend, Harbor Beach, Galt Mile and more, per the City's own neighborhood map.
  • "Venice of America" — 165 miles of inland waterways, which means a lot of canal-front lots, boat lifts in the way and seawall jobs.
  • Port Everglades handles around four million cruise passengers a year; the industrial and commercial corridors around it, Andrews Avenue, Federal Highway and Powerline Road generate steady commercial work.
  • Owner-occupancy is 54% (Census), the lowest of the cities we serve — a big renter and condo share, and a lot of turnover cleanouts.
  • Downtown and Flagler Village keep building; containers there usually need a right-of-way permit because there is no lot.

How we reach Fort Lauderdale

From the yard, Sunrise Boulevard, Broward Boulevard and I-95 reach every part of the city inside twenty minutes. US-1/Federal Highway runs the beach side north-south; Oakland Park and Commercial Boulevards cover the north; I-595 the south edge toward the airport and Port Everglades.

What comes out of Fort Lauderdale properties

Canal-front homes on the Isles get gutted to the shell and rebuilt — that is 30 yard work, often on a swap schedule, with a 10 yard alongside for the terrazzo and tile. The post-war ranch neighborhoods produce kitchens, baths, flooring and roofs in 15s and 20s. Downtown condos and townhouses produce turnover cleanouts the monthly bulk pickup cannot take in one go.

The City's WM bulk collection runs once a month for 1–3 unit properties, is capped at 10 cubic yards, and does not take dirt, sand, pavers, concrete or tile — so patio and driveway demolition is container work by default.

Permits, placement and access in Fort Lauderdale

On your own driveway or lot: no City permit found for a roll-off on private property. Boards go under the rails as standard.

In a street, swale or any public right-of-way: City Code Sec. 25-7 and 25-9 make it unlawful to place an obstruction in a street without a permit from the City Engineer. Permits come through the Development Services Department's Engineering Permitting Division, 700 NW 19th Avenue — 954-828-6520 (press 1), applications via the LauderBuild portal. Anything occupying the right-of-way for more than 72 consecutive hours needs a Revocable License Agreement; fees are set by the City Commission. Sec. 24-28(d) also bars containers serving private property from sitting in the street except for collection.

Construction sites: Sec. 24-11 requires debris to be kept in a container or removed within 24 hours. The City also licenses haulers (Sec. 24-86) and charges a $1.10 per cubic yard debris fee with roofing and demolition permits (Sec. 24-100). Tell us where the container is going and we will tell you which of this applies.

Summarized from the city's published code and web pages as read in October 2026. Codes change — confirm with the department listed before you rely on it.

How it works

Booking a dumpster in Fort Lauderdale

Booking a container here takes one phone call and about five minutes.

  1. 1

Call and tell us the job

One short conversation. We ask what you are clearing, where the container needs to sit, and how much room the driveway or lot gives us. No forms, no waiting on an email.

  2. 2

We size it and quote it flat

You get one number covering delivery, the 7-day rental, pickup, disposal and a stated tonnage allowance. If a smaller box does the job we will say so.

  3. 3

    Delivered where you want it

The driver walks the spot with you and sets the container square on the driveway, lot or job site, boards under the rails. Same-day in Fort Lauderdale if you called before noon.

  4. 4

    Load at your own pace

Keep it level with the top rail and keep the banned items out. Need a swap mid-job or an early pickup? One call and we are on it.

  5. 5

We haul it and sort it right

Concrete, metal and green waste get routed for recovery where Broward's facilities allow; the rest goes to the right disposal site. You get your driveway back the way you left it.

Local answers

Dumpster rental in Fort Lauderdale — common questions

How fast can you deliver in Fort Lauderdale?

Call before noon and it is usually on your driveway that afternoon. The yard is inside the city, so there is no long haul to plan around.

Do I need a permit for a dumpster on my driveway in Fort Lauderdale?

No — we found no City rule requiring one on private property. A street or swale placement needs a right-of-way permit from the City Engineer (954-828-6520); tell us and we will line delivery up with it.

Can the City's bulk pickup take my renovation debris?

Not much of it. Bulk runs monthly, caps at 10 cubic yards and excludes dirt, sand, pavers, concrete and tile. A container takes it all, this week.
