Roll-off dumpster rental in Plantation

About 6.5 miles due west, roughly 14 minutes — straight out Sunrise Boulevard.

Plantation is one of the easiest runs from the yard: out Sunrise Boulevard for fifteen minutes and you are at City Hall. Broward Boulevard, Peters Road and I-595 cover the rest. Afternoon delivery is realistic when you call before noon.

The city incorporated in 1953 selling "a full acre with every home," and the center still has those big lots and ranch houses. Jacaranda, the 5,400-acre planned community west of University Drive, dates from 1964; Plantation Acres is the rural, horse-property district annexed in 1973. Owner-occupancy is 64%. It is a strong remodel-and-addition market with a lot of HOAs.

Local knowledge

Getting our bearings in Plantation

Knowing a city properly is the difference between covering it and showing up with the right box.

  • Acre lots and 1950s ranch homes in central and east Plantation — the original "full acre with every home" subdivisions.
  • Jacaranda — the planned community and golf club west of University Drive, mostly 1970s–80s HOA neighborhoods.
  • Plantation Acres — a rural "special public interest" district with horse properties and its own road standards.
  • Plantation Walk, Midtown and the Broward Mall corridor is the commercial side, with steady tenant build-outs.
  • Plantation Central Park, Heritage Park and Volunteer Park are the landmarks everyone gives directions by.

How we reach Plantation

Sunrise Boulevard and Broward Boulevard from the east, I-595 along the south, University Drive, Pine Island and Nob Hill north-south. Jacaranda is west of University; the Acres is out past Nob Hill toward Flamingo Road.

What comes out of Plantation properties

Additions and whole-house remodels on the acre lots (30 yards, often on a swap), kitchens and roofs in Jacaranda (15s and 20s), barn and pasture cleanouts in the Acres, and office build-outs along University Drive. Residential garbage and bulk here is Waste Management under an exclusive franchise that specifically excludes construction and demolition debris.

Permits, placement and access in Plantation

Right-of-way: we found no Plantation ordinance specifically addressing containers in the street or swale. The Engineering Department, 401 NW 70th Terrace, 954-797-2781, handles permits in the right-of-way — call them before planning a street placement. Keep it on the driveway where you can.

On a residential lot: City Code Sec. 11-10(b) lets the building official require a construction roll-off in a single-family district to be reduced in size, screened in a side or rear yard, or removed if the work has stopped. Construction waste must be cleared within 30 days of final inspection.

Construction debris: Sec. 10-7.6 says no one may place or service roll-off containers for C&D debris in Plantation without a franchise from the City, and the City publishes its list of franchised firms (Public Works, 954-452-2535). No roll-off service is allowed between 8pm and 7am, or on Sundays. Tell us the job and we will tell you where it stands.

Summarized from the city's published code and web pages as read in October 2026. Codes change — confirm with the department listed before you rely on it.

How it works

Booking a dumpster in Plantation

Booking a container here takes one phone call and about five minutes.

  1. 1

Call and tell us the job

One short conversation. We ask what you are clearing, where the container needs to sit, and how much room the driveway or lot gives us. No forms, no waiting on an email.

  2. 2

We size it and quote it flat

You get one number covering delivery, the 7-day rental, pickup, disposal and a stated tonnage allowance. If a smaller box does the job we will say so.

  3. 3

    Delivered where you want it

The driver walks the spot with you and sets the container square on the driveway, lot or job site, boards under the rails. Same-day in Fort Lauderdale if you called before noon.

  4. 4

    Load at your own pace

Keep it level with the top rail and keep the banned items out. Need a swap mid-job or an early pickup? One call and we are on it.

  5. 5

We haul it and sort it right

Concrete, metal and green waste get routed for recovery where Broward's facilities allow; the rest goes to the right disposal site. You get your driveway back the way you left it.

Dumpster rental in Plantation — common questions

How fast is delivery to Plantation?

Often the same afternoon if you call before noon — it is fifteen minutes out Sunrise Boulevard from the yard.

Can a dumpster go in the street in Plantation?

We found no specific city rule either way; call Engineering (954-797-2781) before planning one. The driveway is always simpler.

Does Plantation restrict construction dumpster companies?

Yes — the City requires a C&D franchise and lists the franchised firms. Ask us and we will tell you honestly where we stand for your job.
