Construction Dumpster Rental across Broward County
Construction waste changes as the job does. Demolition at the start is heavy — concrete, block, tile, plaster — and wants a small container loaded level. Framing and drywall in the middle is bulky and light and wants a 30 or a 40. Finish work at the end is packaging and offcuts. Sizing by phase rather than guessing one box for the whole project is most of what we do for contractors.
Fort Lauderdale's code requires construction sites to keep debris in a container or remove it within 24 hours, and most Broward cities have a version of the same rule. A container on site from day one is cheaper than the alternative.

Demolition, framing, roofing and finish
Interior demolition produces the heaviest loads — tile floors, plaster, block — and the right container is usually a 10 yard filled level, hauled often. Framing and drywall fill a 30 fast but weigh little. Roofing is its own category: a tile roof tear-off in Coral Springs or Plantation is heavy enough that we plan the tonnage before the first bundle comes off.
For new builds in Davie and the western suburbs the first container is typically a 30 for packaging and framing waste, with a swap cycle set to the framing schedule.
Placement on a job site
On a private lot we place where the driver can reach it and the crew can load it. For a container in a Fort Lauderdale street or right-of-way the City Engineer issues the permit, with a traffic control plan where needed and a Revocable License Agreement past 72 hours. On county-maintained roads a Broward County right-of-way permit applies instead. We will tell you which one your site needs.

Construction dumpster rental — the Broward specifics
Broward County Code requires an asbestos survey by a Florida-licensed consultant and a Statement of Responsibilities filed at least 10 working days before any demolition, and before renovations that disturb suspect materials. The County Landfill accepts construction and demolition debris from within Broward at $100 a ton from 1 January 2026, which is the number behind every tonnage allowance we quote. Several cities also require the hauler to hold a city permit or franchise for C&D work — see the city pages.

Answers
Construction Dumpster Rental — your questions answered
How do you size a container for a construction job?
By phase. Heavy demolition goes in small containers loaded level; bulky framing and drywall go in a 30 or 40. We ask what stage the job is at and what comes next.
Can you swap containers mid-project?
Yes — we pull the full one and drop an empty in the same visit. Multi-week jobs usually set a swap rhythm at the start.
What about asbestos?
Broward County requires a survey and notification before demolition. Asbestos-containing material cannot go in a roll-off; it is handled by a licensed abatement contractor.
Do I need a permit for a container on site?
Not on the lot itself. In a street or public right-of-way, yes — the City of Fort Lauderdale issues it through Engineering Permitting, and other cities and the County have their own permits.
How much weight is included?
It depends on the size: 2–3 tons on a 10 or 15, 3–4 on a 20, 4–5 on a 30, 5–6 on a 40. Heavy demolition can exceed those, so we plan it with you.
