How Much Does a Dumpster Rental Cost in Fort Lauderdale?
A dumpster rental in Fort Lauderdale typically runs $250 to $650 flat rate depending on size, with delivery, pickup and a 7-day rental included. Here is what moves the number and how to pin it down before delivery day.
These are planning ranges, not a rate card — your quote depends on what is going in, how long you need it and where it sits. Call (954) 287-2445 for a firm, no-obligation price for your address.
10 yard: roughly $250 to $400 — small cleanouts, bathroom remodels, pavers and concrete loaded level
15 yard: roughly $300 to $450 — kitchens, flooring, decks
20 yard: roughly $350 to $550 — multi-room remodels, whole-house cleanouts, roofs up to about 30 squares
30 yard: roughly $450 to $650 — renovations to the studs, large roofs, construction
40 yard: quoted per job — commercial demolition and multi-unit work
Every price includes delivery, pickup, a standard 7-day rental and disposal up to a stated tonnage. No fuel surcharge, no pickup fee.
What actually drives the price
Size. Bigger containers cost more up front but less than two smaller ones back to back.
Weight and material. Disposal is charged by the ton at Broward County's landfill — construction and demolition material is $100 a ton from 1 January 2026, bulk waste the same, yard trash $75 a ton. Concrete, tile, shingles and dirt use up the included tonnage fast; household junk and renovation debris do not.
Rental length. Seven days is standard; extra days are a small daily rate.
Distance. We are in Fort Lauderdale, so most of Broward is a short run. The far corners of the county may carry a small adjustment, which we say up front.
Permits. A container in a public right-of-way needs a city permit with its own fee — and in Lauderhill a residential driveway dumpster carries a $150 city permit. The permit guide has every city.
Extra fees to watch for — anywhere
Ask any provider three questions: what happens if I go over the weight limit, what if I keep it longer, and what is a prohibited item fee. At Fort Dumpsters those are the only three ways a bill changes, and we walk through all three on the first call. Overfilling above the rail is the one that catches people — a heaped container cannot be transported, so the driver has to leave it or ask you to unload it.
Dumpster or junk removal — which is cheaper?
For anything beyond a couple of pickup loads, a container you load yourself is cheaper, because you are paying for the box rather than the hours. For a small job you want gone today with nobody to lift, our junk removal crew is the better value. We run both and will say which on the phone.
How to get an accurate quote
Tell us three things: the size you think you need, roughly what is going in (and specifically whether any of it is concrete, tile, roofing or soil), and how many days you expect to need it. Add the address and whether it sits on a driveway or in the street. That is enough for a firm number. Same-day delivery in Fort Lauderdale carries no rush fee.

How much does a 20 yard dumpster cost in Fort Lauderdale?
Usually $350 to $550 flat rate, including delivery, pickup, a 7-day rental and the included tonnage. It holds about six pickup loads and is the most popular size for renovations and roofs.
Are there hidden fees with dumpster rental?
With us, no. The quote is flat, with no fuel surcharge or pickup fee. The only extras are exceeding the weight limit, keeping the container past the rental window, and prohibited items — all explained on the first call.
How long can I keep a rented dumpster?
Seven days as standard. Extend for a small daily rate by calling or texting before the pickup date.
Why does concrete cost more to dispose of?
It does not cost more per ton — it is just heavy. The County landfill charges by weight, so a container of concrete uses the included tonnage at a fraction of the volume. Load it level in a 10 yard and it stays inside the allowance.
