How it works
You call (954) 287-2445. We ask what you are clearing, where the container will sit and roughly how much there is. You get one flat price covering delivery, a 7-day rental, pickup and disposal to a stated tonnage, and an honest delivery window — same afternoon in Fort Lauderdale when you call before noon, next morning for the far corners of Broward. The driver sets the container with boards under the rails. You load it level with the top rail. You call or text when it is full.
Pick the size
Five sizes: 10, 15, 20, 30 and 40 cubic yards. Count the job in pickup loads — 3, 4–5, 6, 9 and 12 respectively — and watch the weight: concrete, tile, roofing and soil fill the tonnage allowance long before the box looks full, so heavy loads go level in a 10. The sizing guide and the comparison table cover the numbers.
Know the price
Typically $250 to $650 flat rate by size, delivery and pickup included. What moves it: weight (the County landfill charges $100 a ton for construction debris from 2026), extra days, and any city permit. Details in the cost guide.
Check the placement rules
On your own driveway in Fort Lauderdale, no permit. In a street or swale, a right-of-way permit from the City Engineer (Engineering Permitting Division, 954-828-6520). Elsewhere in Broward the rules vary city by city — Lauderhill requires a $150 permit even on a driveway, Deerfield Beach bars anything in the swale, and a few cities regulate who may supply a construction container at all. The city-by-city permit guide lays it all out.
Know what goes in
Household junk, furniture, renovation debris, roofing, lumber, yard waste, and concrete or tile loaded level. Not paint, solvents, fuel, propane, pool chemicals, batteries, tires, electronics or asbestos — Broward County's household hazardous waste program and the cities' own events take those. The what-goes-in guide says where each one goes.
Plan for the weather
Hurricane season runs June through November. After a storm the City collects separated piles from the swale on its own schedule; a container clears your fence, fronds and screen enclosure the week it happens. Before a storm, if a hurricane warning is issued while a container is on your property, call us — an empty box in high wind is a hazard. The storm debris guide covers what the City takes and what it does not.
